Out-of-town productions often fly their own camera. When you don't want to check a camera case, or need a second or third body, you can rent ours on their own or with an operator. Here's how to choose between them.
Canon EOS C80: interviews and multi-cam
We carry three C80 kits, each with a SmallHD 7" touch monitor, a PL mount, and media. It's a full-frame 6K camera that handles mixed office light well, which makes it our default for interviews, documentary work, and anything multi-camera. With three matching bodies, every angle comes out with the same color.
Best for: sit-down interviews, multi-cam events, documentary
RED Komodo 6K: rigs, gimbals, and motion
We carry three Komodo kits, each with a SmallHD 7" monitor, PL and EF mounts, and two 512GB CFast cards. The Komodo's global shutter means fast pans and moving shots don't skew, and its small body sits well on a gimbal or in a tight rig. Pair it with our DJI RS 4 Pro gimbal kit for moving shots.
Best for: commercial b-roll, gimbal and car work, fast action
Canon EOS C50: the compact second body
The C50 kit is a compact full-frame cinema camera with an RF mount, a 512GB CFexpress card, and a monitor. It's the body we reach for as a matched B-cam next to a C80, or as an A-cam on run-and-gun event days where size matters.
Best for: B-cam, events, handheld coverage
Lenses to go with them
- ZEISS Otus ML primes (35, 50, 85mm, RF mount) for clean, sharp interview close-ups
- Canon RF zoom kit (15–35, 24–70, 70–200mm F2.8) when you need to move fast
- Leica R primes, cine-modded, for a softer, more character-heavy look
Support and monitoring
Sachtler tripods, a Dana Dolly or slider, an Easyrig, gimbals, wireless video, and client monitors are all on the full gear list, and everything can travel on our grip truck.
